There are many life experiences that, when combined with a profession that requires the high levels of focus, meticulous skill, discernment, and accountability that is required of pilots, it is imperative that the mental and emotional resolve of our clients prevail. At Centerline Holdings LLC, we believe that every pilot has the ability to lead an intentionally balanced and fulfilling life—both inside and outside of the cockpit. Because Centerline is an organization with a Professional Pilot who is an Executive Coaching Psychologist and Clinical Psychology Post-Doctorate as its founder and coach, our philosophy is rooted in the belief that mental and emotional well-being are integral to overall health, and that goals-based coaching can be a powerful tool for achieving this balance that pilots need, appreciate, and deserve.
Centerline offers a variety of coaching services to meet the unique needs of our aviation clients, particularly air traffic controllers, who may be mentally and emotionally healthy, but may benefit from some stress management coaching which would help them to perform at their optimal levels. This translates into better work/life balance, and improved on the job positivity and resolve in the face of possible challenges from factors that are beyond their control. We also offer specialized coaching services for management of workload, performance, and cognitive functioning.
Our team of experienced aviation coaches use a client-centered approach, working collaboratively with our clients to identify their goals and develop a customized coaching plan. We also place a strong emphasis on building a trusting and supportive coaching relationship built on our understanding and experience with the roles and responsibilities of executive leadership.

Through a structured intake process coupled with assisting in a more informal self-assessment, the specific challenges that need to be addressed as the starting point for a successful coaching experience are revealed.
Centerline encourages the client to consider what he or she wants to achieve from the coaching experience and what improvements he or she would like to make in order to reach and exceed long-term goals. As coaches it is important to understand the client’s motivation and why their stated goals are important to achieve. This makes evaluation of the skills needed to accomplish the goals easier to acquire or sharpen as the objective is completed.
Collaborative planning and execution of the coaching plan are key to setting reasonable expectations and devising measurable outcomes. Once the plan is set and the timeline for execution has commenced, both coach and client are able to work together to facilitate the plan with clarity and specificity.
Accomplishment of Milestones and focusing on not just meeting but exceeding goals as a pilot or aviation professional requires set expectations that are specific, measurable, attainable, and time sensitive. It involves communicating openly, listening actively, cultivating a “growth” mindset, and committing to over extending one’s reach to exceed goals.
Once goals have been attained, it is important that the coach assists the client in employing resilience, cultivate emotional intelligence and continue trainings in resolve and appropriate application, channel positive behavioral outcomes to not only be appreciated but also utilize to motivate and inspire others.
